(Fully) guided implant dentistry
Guarantee for a flawless smile
We all want a flawless smile and well-functioning teeth. Missing teeth or even a whole row of teeth not only make it difficult to bite down firmly, they also make a relaxed smile almost impossible. Implants are the best dental solution in these cases. Put simply, implants are new teeth that are firmly anchored to artificial tooth roots that have grown into the jawbone. The artificial tooth roots are made from extremely robust materials such as titanium or ceramic. Mundreich can also help patients who have only a small amount of healthy jawbone: We almost always succeed in rebuilding the remaining jawbone so that it can be restored with new, fixed dentures.
It is important to know that comprehensive planning is the essential foundation for good implants.
This planning includes:
- A 3D X-ray (DVT) of your jaw that shows the paths of all the nerves as well as the bone volume and the exact spatial extent of the maxillary sinus
- A scan of the upper and lower jaws with an intraoral scanner
- The data from the scan and the DVT are combined and used to determine the implant position
- The data is also used to prepare a drilling template, which ensures that your new teeth are positioned precisely
Every step of the treatment has the same goal: To make the procedure as safe as possible and to achieve an aesthetically and functionally optimal result – for a long-lasting, happy smile.
Bone augmentation
A strong foundation for strong teeth
Many patients tell us that they are not suitable for a dental implant because they do not have enough bone. But we can say with great confidence that in 99% of cases, we can carry out a successful bone augmentation treatment to create the optimal conditions for fixed teeth on implants. Our many years of experience have shown that it is rarely impossible to insert an implant. We work with each of our patients to find solutions to improve their quality of life by giving them strong and resilient teeth.
At Mundreich, we have several options to regenerate and restore the jawbone. The biology of the patient’s jawbone is always the starting point for regeneration and restoration. We also use special techniques and materials that have been successfully used for decades to make the seemingly impossible possible.
The best thing about it? Not only will your new teeth give you back a perfectly fit and a powerful bite, but you will also be able to enjoy all types of food again without any worries.
Sinus lift
Using the anatomy of the body to your advantage
If teeth are missing at the back of the upper jaw and it is planned to replace them with dental implants, there is often not enough bone height to insert an implant so that it is surrounded by bone. Fortunately, our anatomy gives us an established and standardised opportunity to gain bone height.
Periodontal therapy / Periodontal surgery
Successfully tackling a widespread disease
More than one in two Germans have periodontal disease – a condition that can cause the jawbone and even the gums to shrink gradually. It is important to seek professional help as soon as the first signs are noticed to intervene in the early stages and to prevent the disease progressing.
There are several options available to prevent progression, ranging from deep cleaning of the tooth surfaces to surgical intervention. All the disease-causing bacteria are eliminated, and the bone is stimulated to regrow to ensure that teeth are preserved for the long term.
Wisdom tooth removal
Minimum intervention for maximum success
Wisdom teeth are sadly not a sign of growing wisdom, despite their name. Rather, they owe their name to the fact that they usually only break through the gums in early adulthood. This natural process occurs in 80 per cent of the population. However, there are many reasons why wisdom teeth may have to be removed.
When do wisdom teeth have to be removed?
Wisdom teeth often cause inflammation and pain in the jaw area. For example, there may not be enough room with all the adult teeth in place. They may be partly or completely covered by the gums or they may be displaced. The wisdom teeth can also damage neighbouring teeth if hygiene becomes difficult. This is particularly annoying if it is only recognised at a late stage.
Thanks to modern, gentle methods such as those we use at Mundreich, removing wisdom teeth can usually be carried out without complications and with few after-effects.
Microsurgical root tip resection
Finest precision work below the surface
The best teeth are your own. If you are still experiencing discomfort after root canal treatment has been carried out, there is the option of microsurgical root tip resection in selected cases.
Ultrasound is used to clean and cut off the lowest part of the tooth root and then to seal the root canals – surgery that would not be possible without the high-resolution surgical microscope. We give the tooth and the surrounding tissue the opportunity to regenerate so that preserving the tooth is possible.
Anaesthesia
The best options for precise interventions
If your upcoming procedure makes you feel anxious, we can offer you treatment under general anaesthesia as an alternative to local anaesthesia.
An anaesthetist will gently put you to “sleep” and you will not be aware of any part of the procedure. Talk to us – we understand your concerns completely.
